Just like the beautiful flowers in a garden, God’s children come in different shapes, sizes, colors and abilities. Yet, like the flowers, each one is beautiful and has his or her own special gift to offer the world. Unfortunately, the world seems to accept only those who conform to its dictates.

Christmas programme for the differently abled

Our endeavour is to share God’s love with our brothers and sisters who are special or differently abled and their family members, regardless of age and religion by reaching out to them by spending a time of fellowship with them.

God has given us this wonderful opportunity to share and receive love from our differently abled brothers and sister and their care givers. We have many children with different disabilities coming to our meetings. The transformation we see in their lives and their unconditional love is nothing but a witness to how special they are to God.

A group from the Blind Colony in Moratuwa joins us and they tell us that they look forward to our monthly meetings to share love and fellowship. The care givers of this group get an opportunity to meet and share their anxieties and difficulties in looking after these special persons. Much is NOT asked from us – just to give these children of God something to look forward to at least once a month to bring them joy and to uplift their morale! We are convinced that the differently abled have a higher place in heaven prepared for them by the Lord!

We meet every 3rd Saturday from 9.30-11.30 am at the home of a member of our community, who is a trained teacher of differently abled children. We enjoy a time of praise, worship, sharing of a message and fellowship.

All differently abled and their care givers are welcome!

"They inspire us "

Bro. Jaysiri

Brother Jayasiri (blind person) plays the keyboard for praise and worship. He also shares the Word from his (Braille) Bible!! It is so special indeed, to see how much they thirst for the Lord.
